Brent crude trading at $84.72/bbl

Crude oil prices on Tuesday rose by Rs21 to Rs6,639 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil was up by 0.30 per cent at $80.34 per barrel, and Brent crude traded 0.36 per cent higher at $84.72 per barrel in New York. On MCX, crude oil for September delivery traded higher by Rs21 or 0.32 per cent at Rs6,639 per barrel in 4,185 lots. Analysts said raising of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade
